Pilot who was sacked for snorting cocaine off woman’s chest and trying to fly full plane back to UK is back in cockpit

He’s found another flying job

A pilot who was rather infamously sacked by British Airways after snorting cocaine off a woman’s chest before attempting to fly a passenger plane has found another cockpit to fly in.

You may remember the tale of Mike Beaton, a BA pilot who had been due to fly from Johannesburg, South Africa to London, but was stopped after a flight attendant expressed concerns over his condition.
Beaton admitted he’d been a ‘very naughty boy’ and was suspended, flying back to the UK as a passenger the following day.

He was made to take a drugs test upon his arrival at Heathrow Airport, and the results came back positive, which led to him being sacked.

Text messages pointed towards a wild night out he’d had in his downtime before the flight back to the UK, in which the pilot described an explicit encounter where he snorted cocaine off a woman’s chest.

“We all walk (stagger) back up to the hotel bar for ‘one last one before bed,’” Beaton had written in the text messages to a friend.
“Welsh and one of these guys is getting on very well, but she’s told him that I’m her boyfriend. Couple of drinks in the bar, bit of snogging, and then we’re somehow all on our way to this dude’s flat.
