Trump Accuses Celebrities of Illegally Supporting Kamala Harris
In a fervent post on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump charged Beyoncé and several other prominent celebrities with unlawfully accepting millions to endorse Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign. Trump asserted that Beyoncé was compensated around $11 million for a brief appearance at a rally, during which she did not perform, resulting in jeers from the audience.
He further claimed that Rev. Al Sharpton was paid $600,000 and Oprah Winfrey $3 million for their public endorsement of Harris. “They were compensated to do nothing at all,” Trump stated. He remarked that paying for endorsements is against the law and called for criminal prosecution, although he provided no supporting evidence.
